Finally after continuous effort of 1 month, I woke up at 6:15 A.M today for morning walk when Usually I woke up after 9 A.M.
Some unexpected conversations that happened:

Between Me n MOM:

MOM: Swati, u r awake at this time, Dint u sleep last night?
Me: Yes I did. Just woke up and going to Park.
MOM: Speechless…

Between Me n DAD:

DAD : (Saw me in the park, Confused ) , Beta have you come here to call me?
Me: No
DAD: Den?
Me: I have come for a walk.
DAD: Did u sleep at Chacha place last nyt? ( As park is near to my old house and I was in party last nyt so he was not aware where I slept )
Me: No
DAD: So, that means you have come from our house here just for walk .
Me: Yes
DAD: Speechless…

Now I was back to Home: Both bro n Bhabhi were surprised..

Between Me n BRO:

At 10:30: I was free, had my bath and breakfast and was planning to sleep, Suddenly
My bro asked: Wanna come to factory with me?
Me: Leave it
Bro: What happened?
Me: Stop kidding agn.
Bro: I am serious
Me: This time I was speechless :)

Den I reached the factory. Bro explained the processes manually via Flow Chart. Den I went for a round of whole factory, saw every activity and give some tips to bro for improvement. Dnt knw how many tips will be applicable ( aftr all I m a fresher ). After that I went to my Uncle’s factory, saw and understood their functioning also.

I had a gr8 experience. I felt like Industry Visits I used to have during MBA studies. Hopefully looking forward to more such visits ( Cond Apply * )

P.S: Jaise Daag ache hote h , shayad subah uthna bhi Acha hota h :)

GUJRATI Wedding....

Tuesday, May 03, 2011 Edit This 18 Comments »

Writing after a long break …Now my MBA is over and I m having Masti these days..

This post is about Gujrati Wedding of my best friend ( Sunny ) at FORE. Attending his marriage was like one of the dream come true. Thanx Lord Krishna and my family for the support.

Day 0 : V friends met and went to Ahmedabad in train.

Day 1 ( Till Evening )

From Ahmedabad, we took small journey in Bus to reach Sunny’s place. First time I travelled in Volvo wd friends. The bus had 5 mins halt in b/w and then called everyone in bus. That time I felt like Bollywood movies when Hero Heroine usually gt late n miss d bus. Obviously nothng was like that but still I felt..On arrival, his family gave warm welcome and served Gujrati food. Preparation and taste was different from North Indian food and Puran Poli and Chaach were the best. We also ate Khandvi which acc to Rohan was Gujrati Pasta :). Den we went to accommodation arranged for friends – Sunny’s New house.

Day 1 ( Evening )

First function that we attended was Garbha night. Unique thing was that evrythng was systematic. People have standard way of dancing with highly synchronous steps and lively n energetic dance. Even I tried it and learned 2 - 3 patterns. V never knw tht Sunny dances so well. Traditions and timings are followed religiously. Dresses were also traditional. All men in Sherwani, Ladies in Lehanga choli with special effect to their hair style – Chotla ( this is what they call it ).

Day 2: Marriage Day

Due to tiredness of journey and dance, we missed morning ceremonies and went for lunch. After that it was time to get ready for marriage as marriage time was late afternoon. Due to some reasons, I got late for the wedding and missed the dancing part in Baraat. Priya was dressed in White red saree for Jai Mala. She was looking absolutely stunning and was like show stopper. Sunny wore Sherwani and was looking like a King. ‘Jai Mala’ ceremony took place peacefully.

Then Priya came in another outfit which is known as ‘ Ghar Chola’ ( Red printed saree ). After that rest all ceremonies took place followed by Dinner and Vidaai. Women from bth sides cried and Priya was confused whether to cry or to be happy :).

2 noticeable things were:

  • Bride and Groom sit on exclusive chairs during Phere whereas in my tradition they sit on floor.
  • Here one man usually Groom’s friend and one women usually Bride’s Bhabhi became their best man and women i.e they were with the bride and groom throughout marriage.

Day 3: Reception

First 2 days v were late but v reached on time on Reception. Finally we learned their culture. This event was the grandest one and people were in most stylish and modern outfits. Here many things were common with Delhi marriages – Food, Dresses, Bollywood songs etc.

Sunny and Priya went to stage in the Bollywood style – Hand in hand, walking in the middle path to reach to the stage. Guests were assembled and had their places before their entry. The function started with a video covering Sunny life till now. Then one by one, guests went to the stage to give their blessings to the couple.

Here also everything was systematic – Guests were standing in queues waiting for their turn to go to stage(Wow)..It was amazing scene – Just like we wait outside temple to meet the Deity. We met the couple on the stage, had our dinner and left from the venue to our homes.

This is all about my Best Friend’s Wedding. In short, a wonderful journey and experience of a new culture.

Three things about Gujrati People that I noticed–

  • Cute ( Gals specifically ),
  • Down-to-earth
  • Pure by heart.

P.S : Now I m realizing tht I have written too much. But I cant help, I had unforgettable memories..

Art of Living...

Wednesday, June 02, 2010 Edit This 3 Comments »

Recently I got the opportunity to do the Part-I course of Art of Living. I was tracking it since 3 years bt due to one rsn or d othr, never joined. Initially, I thought that there is only one course that all people do and many of my friends have done bt aftr joining it, I realized that there is a list of 6-7 different courses and I am jus doing Part-1. The 6 days journey was entirely a new and unimaginable exp. It made me thought about various things that I never evn cared about; ranging frm smallest to largest. For the first time in my life, I was with myself and thought about my existence. I realized that every 1 can be happy in any situation only if he/she wish to. Every1 thinks about welfare of others but somehow they have forgettn their existence due to peer pressure and other boundations. Art of Living helps one in realizing your true self , making one free from unnecessary boundations. Some beautiful thoughts that I discover during my learning there are:

1) Live in Present as Present is inevitable.

2) We are responsible for our actions and non-actions.

3) Be positive in life. Things will improve soon.

4) Accept people as they are.

5) Anger and frustration lead us nowhere.

6) Respect all.

7) Don’t be the football of other’s opinions. Listen to all but follow what is good for you in the long run.

8) Don’t waste time in searching/ looking for intention behind other people work.

9) Our Mind says: Whatever you resist, I persist. So, be very careful in taking decisions in life.

Last but not the least,

10) Something which gives happiness in short run but gives pain in long run should be avoided. For instance, Smoking and Drinking.

P.S 1: I want to suggest all my friends, family members and enemies to join Art of Living once in Life. Trust me, it will be a wonderful experience for you. Just spare some time for yourself.

P.S 2: Be Happy and Keep smiling...

Specially for the Atheists..

Wednesday, May 19, 2010 Edit This 2 Comments »
Atheists are the people who always believe that there is no God or God does not exist. Today, I heard a very beautiful song of the movie: SAAYA . With the help of this song , I wanna change the perspective of those who don’t believe in God. The lyrics are as follows:

har taraf, har jagah, har kahin pe hai, haan.. usi kaa roop
har taraf, har jagah, har kahin pe hai, haan.. usi kaa roop
haan usi kaa roop...
roshni kaa koi dariyaa to hai, haan kahin pe zaroor
roshni kaa koi dariyaa to hai, haan kahin pe zaroor

ye aasmaan, ye zamin, chaand aur soorajkyaa banaa sakaa hai kabhi koi bhi kudrat
ye aasmaan, ye zamin, chaand aur soorajkyaa banaa sakaa hai kabhi koi bhi kudrat
koi to hai jiske aage hai aadmi majboor
koi to hai jiske aage hai aadmi majboor

har taraf, har jagah, har kahin pe hai, haan.. usi kaa roop

insaan jab koi hai raah se bhatkaaisne dikhaa diyaa, usko sahi rastaa
insaan jab koi hai raah se bhatkaaisne dikhaa diyaa, usko sahi rastaa
koi to hai jo kartaa hai mushkil hamaari door
koi to hai jo kartaa hai mushkil hamaari door

har taraf, har jagah, har kahin pe hai, haan.. usi kaa roop
roshni kaa koi dariyaa to hai, haan kahin pe zaroor

Those who have not listen to this song, listen now . You will feel gud. And those who do not believe in God will be at least thinking now.

Who loves us more?

Saturday, May 15, 2010 Edit This 6 Comments »

Last night , I was alone in the room , with No1 to accompany me, No cousin, No internet and Not even Mobile( No balance n no free sms ). I was lying on bed n wanna sleep but suddenly random thoughts came to my mind( Idle Mind is Devil’s Workshop ). At every point of time in life, we have different situations n different reactions by different people.

No doubt every1 around us loves us , but, how to Judge: Who Loves us more?

1) When We are Born, Our Mom was there to make us eat , drink n sleep. Family members were there to play with us n care 4 us. But Neighbours, relatives n friends used to cum with gifts n showering of blessings. So, who loves us more ? Inside Family members or Outside people?

2) When we entered into school, our family pushed us away from them so that we can go to school and learn about the world. But it was teachers who taught us different things n our little friends made us learn how to eat n play with others. So, who loves us more ?

3) Whenever we have exams, Mom is there with her blessings n support. But it is friends who are there for combined studies , for solving our queries and for bearing our temper. So, who loves us more ?

4) Whenevr we are ill, our family is there to consult doctors, to provide medicines and (patient/hygienic) food but relatives and friends often calls or visit home to know about our health. So, who loves us more ?

5) When we are upset and we want someone to console us, our family is 24 hours with us but friends are available mostly via mails or calls. So, who loves us more ?

6) Whenever you need money, without any hestitation we demand from our parents, without any thought of returning them. But when it comes to cousins or friends, we hestitate because we have to return them one day or the other. So, who loves us more ?

7) When we have some decision to be made, many times it happen that family members are not able to understand our point of view or our requirement and this results in less support from their side. But that point or requirement is understood by our peers or cousins and they support us. So, who loves us more ?

8) We have huge expectations from family members and if all are not met, we have complaints, we fight or cry or feel alone. But with relatives n friends, we have less expectations so often they are met, so we are happy with them. So, who loves us more ?

…………………………..
………….
…….
....

This list is endless as situations are endless and every situation left a question in front of me. I thought, thought n thought a lot and finally without any conclusion, I went to sleep.

A new beginning...

Monday, May 03, 2010 Edit This 5 Comments »

It has been 20 days now that I have entered into a new life. New life in terms of surroundings, ambience, neighbourhood ie we have shifted into new house ( from Joint family to Nuclear family ). I wanted to share and write about it earlier but due to shifting, setting at home, no internet facilities, relatives visit and office I dint get time. Today, I am kind of free at office so utilizing the time.

Around 10 days before the function ( the day of shifting ) , we decided that we should start with displacement of luggage from old house to new house. The day we started, the atmosphere became sentimental. The crying episode was started by my young cousin and continued by the elders. I dint cry because I was consoling others but from inside I was also feeling bad as separation after 22 years is difficult and the memories are unforgettable. In order to avoid the crying scene at home, we paused the work for 2 days.

We also went for family dinner so that every1 would feel better. After two days when we again started the shifting, we faced the same story. Finally, we decided that all the shifting will be done during night. Half of the things were shifted before the function and half were shifted after function.

The beginning in new home started with high fever and throat infection, two days leave from office without notice ( The Mentor’s number was misplaced ) followed by strict instructions from mentor regarding rules and regulations of office.

Now I m in new house but I dint feel much uncomfortable as I used to initially because on a regular basis, we go to old house and cousins come to our place. At times, I sleep there and at times they stay at my place. Actually it is good feeling now as often we have combined family dinners which were less often when we were together.

The best part is that finally I have my personal room now and all my belongings are in one room. Yuppy!! I am loving it. But still I will always remember my old house memories and missing the neighbourhood because good people and neighbours are difficult to find.

First Day at Work..

Friday, April 02, 2010 Edit This 4 Comments »
The last Blog I wrote was German Effect ( sumtym in Feb 2010 ) and after that now I gt some tym to contribute. The best part is that today I am kinda free . Free because I have completed half of my MBA ( WOW !! ) n Kinda because My intern has started..

Today was the first time, first day at Work in my Life..

The day started in a tizzy mode. Excited because going 4 work 4 first tym n tensed because the place z new, people r new , n college faculties have given a long list of Do's n Dont's to us, so caution , caution n caution was d 1 word that was hovering around me.

With the nervous attitude , I entered the premises and waited for 5 mins. Although it was my second visit ( 1st was orientation ), I was feeling equally awkward to approach any1. Luckily, the person to whom I had to meet located me. She directed n introduced me to one f d accountants n accountant head. The accountant told me the basics of how a salary is computed for each individual n surprisingly for the first time I understood the concept of Tax Bracket ( upto Rs 1,60,000 - No tax n so on ) . I heard the changes of Tax bracket in the Latest Budget but dint know its working. I also came to knw how education fee can save taxes. I heard about education fee saving first time 1-2 months ago by my frnd Sunny bt ignored it bcz I dint understnd anythng abt such schemes or laws but today the concepts r atleast not naive to me.

After learning that, I was idle for half an hour because I was feeling inept to go agn to my Mentor. Dz tym also she located me n aftr that she made sure that I should not sit idle. Thereon I learned about Purchase, Journal, Payment n Freight Vouchers and many other basics things.

1 thing I dint understand : 'Why people drink so much Tea / Coffee in Office'? They served me thrice but after saying 'No' twice , I had to accept. Rest the ambiance n employees ( to whom I interacted ) r good.

The day that started with shrinking smile end up with content smile. Hope the coming two months will be a gr8 learning experience for me.

Gute Nacht ( Good Night ) for now..I have office tomorrw.

Will come soon..

Deutsch- Effekt ( German Effect )

Guten Abend - Good Evening

This semester I am learning German.. Since for the first time I am studying and learning a foreign language , so it is both very exciting and difficult..I am not a bookaholic and dnt study regularly, so as usual opened the German book a day before the German Exam. First I thought of starting German but then recalled that OMG !! i have another exam on the same day n that too Finance..Cant afford not to study that.

I was in dilemma n it was time for trade off b/w German n Fin. After wasting a hell lot of time , finally i decided that I will study Fin n in b/w whnevr i will be bored , I will switch to German.

So I guess after studying for half day , finally i switched to German. The moment I started, I felt that I am gone and I am surely gonna flunk bcz these das, die , der, unser, diese, dieser, dieses, ein, eine will make me mad..( By the way, these words mean A , AN, THE , THIS ). One must be wondering that I wrote 9 words but just four meanings. Well , Dz z German :)

Der/Dieser - The/This for Masculine
Die/Diese - The/This for Feminine
Das/Dieses - The/This for Neutral

Wht's this crap ? I guess 'The' is 'The' n whts d adv f confusing d lang so much for ordinary people like me by including masculine, feminine or neutral.

Similarly, there are some very funny n strange words like -

1. Vergangenheit - Means ' past '. Pronunciation -> F- r- gain - gun - height. By the time u will pronounce it , it will already be past.
2. Auf Wiedersehen - Means ' bye- bye' . Bye bye kam n abusive language jyada lagti h.
3. Bleistift - Means ' pencil '. I dont knw why such a strnge name for simple word. Children will be scared of asking pencils if they have to ask in Germn.
4. Kugelschreiber - Means ' Ball pen '. Pronunciation -> Ku - gal - sh - ra - e - b - r. It seems like a word used for Kings of ancient times. Never thought that owing a pen will make one so proud.
5. Bonbon - Means ' Toffee '. The pronunciation seems as if a dog is making sound.

But there are some good and interesting words also. Like -

1. Liebe - Means ' Love '. Seems like a very cute word.
2. Bitte -Means ' Please '. I dont knw if it z intersting for others, but i like it.
3. Ruhe - Means ' Keep quiet ' . Short and simple.
4. Uhr - Means ' Watch ' . Pronounced as -> oo - a - r. Seher uhr ( See watch ) :). Although it seems like hindi version of 'pig' but atleast it is easy to pronounce.
5. Ja - Means ' Yes' . Best part is that it is pronounced as ' Ya '.

While studying German , I thought let's try and write 5-6 simple sentences about myself that I wrote probably last time in 1st standard at school. Read with concentration : It is always good to learn something new.

1. Ich heißt Swati Jain
2. Meine vorname ist Swati
3. Meine nachname ist Jain
4. Ich habe zwei Brüder ( This double dot is known as umlaut )
5. Ich bin zweiundzwanzig jahre alt.
6. Ich arbeite nicht.

Could not write much because I knw limited German and I dint have time to waste in stressing so much just one hour before exam.

Well the conversion is simple :)

1. My name is Swati Jain
2. My first name is Swati
3. My last name is Jain
4. I have 2 Brothers
5. I am 22 years old
6. I am not working

Although I was scared of German when i opend the material yet I enjoyed it later. Hope i will be an expert in dz ;) Quite impossible bcz Sir said 'For that u need to study it for atleast 2 years' n I have to study for 3 months out of which 1 month is gone.

P.S : Try a new language if getting bored in life or want to have fun. ( Bcz in every lang u will find funny words n quotes )

Gute Nacht - Good Night :)

Masti Time..

Monday, January 04, 2010 Edit This 3 Comments »

Before I begin I wanna wish HAPPY NEW YEAR to my blog and all my friends. The new year is a nice beginning for me. The reasons r many : exams r over, 1/3th of MBA is complete ( not bad ) , after 6 months of MBA finally got 10 days of break, outing with friends after long time, new year eve celebration, new year celebration, n last but not the least visit to Vrindavan.

First 23 days of December 09 were hectic. Projects, viva, assignments, ppts n exams, sleepless nights, travelling , cold, cough, fever, n vomiting ( Yuks ) . Life seemed like Hell. I said to myself “ Boss MBA is not that easy”. N not to discuss about exams as they r meant to be just over. Like after every worst days, comes the happy days , so they came.

I felt like an independent girl ready to fly in the open sky.

First two days of holidays i just slept n slept to recover my lost strength.

The next day was 25th Dec ie Christmas so went to CP Catholic Church with friends. The waiting time in queue was min of 2 hours and we were getting late so thought once of going back. I forgot that i have wonderful incorrigible friends with no scope of improvement. They planned something and went ahead. With the help of some weird excuses they took the entry in the queue very near to the entrance of Church. Later I also joined them. We saved approx 1 n half hrs.

I went there for the first time co-incidentally on D Day so expectation was high. I expected huge celebration n decoration inside church. Although it was very calm n peaceful inside yet it was not according to my imagination. People were just entering and leaving. The fans and desk were not properly aligned and deco of Christmas tree was better in Malls than of Church. I think most of the things is better in privatisation thse days. Still I had amazing time followed by wrong journey in Metro. We wre so engrossed in Gossip and chatting that we dint notice that we have taken wrong Metro. So after roaming 1 hr in Metro for actual distance of 15mins we reached our respective places. In short, the time saved by wrong entry in queue was balanced.

Next day I went for Super hit Block Buster Movie who did business of 250crores. By this time everyone has come to know what I am talking about. Yes, it is 3 IDIOTS. I hope no explanation required about the story and movie. No one can beat Rancho uff chote uff Wangdu uff Aamir’s acting be it Andaaz apna apna, Dil Chahta Hai, Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Par, Ghazini or 3 idiots. He is 'The Best'.

O o.. I forgot to mention about my visit to ICD Dadri ( dry port ) in UP just week before exams. We got stuck in traffic and were already late by 2 hours then estimated time, so Sir n we all decided to walk as ICD was 2 Kms away 4m dre. ICD was of full of trucks and containers of 10 feet height n 20/40 feet length. I felt as if I am watching some shooting in which Heroine is hiding behind some container, villain is searching and hero will come and jump from the top of container to rescue her. Apart from hallucination I learned the basics about import and export.

Now back to holidays. New year eve was full of Masti which includes second time 3 idiots, outing, DJ night with neighbours and cousins, tambola etc till 3:30A.M. O God! I was very tired that day. This is how I said Adios/Bye Bye/ Alvida to 09.

I welcome 10 by waking up at 10. New year’s programme was visit to Dilli Haat. The moment I was about to leave home I got to know that I dint have car n my 3 friends were waiting 4 me to join me on the way. I had to cajole my bro to drop me till the place where my friends were waiting. We four travelled till Punjabi Bagh ( Oops I forgot my bro, I mean v 5 )and there one more friend was waiting for us. We joined her in her car n reached Dilli Haat. There we were interested less in stalls and more in different states food. Tried various diff state dishes, some good n some not so good. Then we said Alvida to our friend Kappi who came to Delhi to meet us. On return journey ,again we got stuck in heavy traffic.

Uff this traffic will consume 1/10th of my life. I was scolded at home because continuously for two days I was roaming n eating unhygienic stuff.

Someone says that what you do on New Year is followed whole year. This means that i will roam whole year. WOW!!..

The last holiday was also special. I went to Vrindavan. Although evry visit there is a unique experience for me yet this time also I had peace of mind and nice dharshan.

This time, I also visited Nidhi Van/Madhu Van. The Van is full of short trees of height 5 or 6 feet only. It is said that half of the trees are gopiyaas n half r Krishna n they become alive at night to do Raas-Leela. The unique thing about these trees is that the roots of the trees are connected to each other and these trees seems dry n dead from the root but are alive and green from the top. This Van is closed after the process of ARTI at 8p.m. A very mysterious conception is associated with this temple i.e. after the sacred process of ARTI, not only human beings, but any kind of single animal also can't remain in the periphery of this temple. In case anyone remains during night in the compass of the temple, either he / she becomes dumb, deaf, blind, lame or dies. He/she is not found hale and hearty in the morning to disclose the spiritual secret of the lord Radha-Krishna.

Walking bare foot in the Van in such cold weather was exciting plus difficult. The best part according to me was my Bhabhi. She did ‘ kikli’ there with my bro saying to my bro that ‘ You are my Krishna n I m ur Radha so let’s do Leela here ’ , that was really funny n sweet. I will not describe minutely about other things as I have described about them in length in earlier articles.

O ..At last i have written some anecdotes about my past 1 month. I can actually write 40-50 pages if I will write in detail but that will be too much to digest for me as well as others lolz.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ONCE YEAR..

LIFE IS SHORT SO LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST !!

Last Two Weeks..

Sunday, November 01, 2009 Edit This 5 Comments »
I wanna share my last two weeks wd my blog ie 4m 26th oct 09 to 7th nov 09.

Well d Gud news came on sat i.e. 24th oct tht our Nukkad Natak script was selctd in Inter-clg Nukkad Natak competition at IMI. It was very surprisng 4 3 f us. Ya.. me, shashnk n sankalp initiated to take part in Nukkad at IMI annual fest.

But d prb was tht v had xams 4m Mondy(26th) to Wed ( with 2 exams a day ) so v wre sure tht v had no tym to prepare our play, dialogues n rehearsal n event was on 31st. Two days were less because we have classes on bth days till eve .Not only this, suddenly important work came that v had to do within those days only. We also wanted perfection in our play dz time bcz when we performed 4 d first time ( 2 months ago ), our performance was unsatisfactory.

But our team CHIRAG dint let d spirit die n decided that we will do it at any cost. One day before the D-day one strong character had to leave d play bcz f one f his family member loss. We were shockd 4 a moment but regained our confidence n planned that the 'SHOW MUST GO ON'. Some1 has rightly said that ' Behind evry1 achievement there r always gr8 hurdles'. It was d tym 4 next hurdle n whn aftr the classes we were abt to go 4 practice, we got to knw tht one company is dere 4 final placement , so v cnt practice in clg premises. We went to DDA park tht ws near to our clg. Since dere ws no light so v practiced in moon-light. It was gr8 time in the cool breeze . Reached home at 11pm n had to assemble at 7:30am in clg d next day ie sat. One week wd negligible sleep plus travelng in traffic plus prep .. Ufff Hectic n like Hell !!!

Still we all performed in full spirits n won the first prize ( Rs 25000 ) in inter-college competition at IMI. We behaved madly as if we won World Cup lolz but seriously that feeling and that day ( 31st Oct ) was memorable.

During those days we shouted alot due to which i fell ill. The next week was special as we had our College Uff School Annual Fest on 6th n 7th Nov and I wanna perform in Nukkad as well as in my all time fav Dance but my health gave the indication that i would not be able to. But I did compete in Nukkad wd my team n our team agn Won the first prize ( though one more team got the first prize dz tym ).. Dance performance also went good so i was satisfied n had lots of fun with all my frndz. Took part in other events also , dint win in any but had great experience n fun in those activities .

P.S : All in all , MBA is not just about studies , it also includes enjoyment, time management, team work, pressure handling and at the top crisis management..

MBA , I M LOVING YOU :)!!!

Delhi Rain ( Full of surprises )

Monday, July 27, 2009 Edit This 2 Comments »
Since a long time there was no rainfall in Delhi but when it is raining today, it showed its unexpected results to me. I m writing this article while I m in traffic only since 2 and half hours and have not covered even one- third of the distance to my home from college.

Rain was not stopping and we were hungry, so we planned to go somewhere for light snacks. But the weather was so bad that we were drenched from top to bottom the moment we moved out of the car. That was not all. The service of the sweet shop (where we went) was so slow that we got fed up and left the place without eating anything. Then we went to another one and finally had something to eat. After that we again came to the road.

Right now I am in the middle of Hyaat fly over and the best hilarious moment is that people have left their cars and roaming around on the roads as if they are doing night walk. I have never seen such colourful Delhi( with cars all around you) at 12 o clock . Yes , the next day has just begun and I have to leave my home at 7:45am again. My friend Rupu is constantly cracking PJ’s and suffering from nature’s call lolz.. Another friend is feeling hungry but we don’t have anything to eat , not even a drop of water to drink.

The tragedy does not end here. Our parents are constantly calling with mixed opinions. One friend’s parents are suggesting to stay back at our friends place while my parents are suggesting to come back home. Another problem is that of communication channel. My cell’s battery is low, one friend does not have balance and third friend don’t have connectivity. Wow , this is the best situation to face after hectic college. Now it z 12:30 and luckily the traffic is moving slowly from the speed of 2km/hr to 10km/hr. One friend is driving, one has dose off and I m engrossed in writing.

The song which is currently running on 93.5 radio is “ Jaadu Hai Nasha Hain” and in between news channel saying that Delhi’s road are heavily jammed, many people have died, trees have fallen down and cracks have appeared on roads at some places. I don’t know why I am writing all this but may be because every normal being will be pissed off in such situation.
Now it’s the time to end the story now because it is abt my journey to home and I have finally reached home at 1am .

Good Night !!
Keep smiling !!!!

P.S : Just praying to God that dz type of journey should never come agn..

New journey at Fore..

Wednesday, June 17, 2009 Edit This 5 Comments »

Recently , I have taken admission in Fore, a journey to a whole new world proudly known as MBA. Today was only the third day at Fore but the memories n happiness has been engraved in my brain for lifetime.

First Day : Could not sleep the previous night bcz f the tension tht I would have to wake at 6 n reach on tym .But I managed ( Thnx to my extra punctual frnds ). We had to sit in Audi from 9am to 5pm continuously for the introduction session by all the respected faculty members n teachers, with only 20 min brk in between. Since before college, my activities comprises sleeping n eating so it ws burdensome to sit there cont w/o meals . But I managed though I ws exhausted completely aftr reaching home. Good point was that I dint feel aloof n lonely even for a second as I knew so many in advance.

Thnx to Orkut..

Second Day : Commencement of classes and all the classes were good. Rather I should say that the teachers r adroit, skillful n dexterous. They taught us in simple terms tht could be grasped by students of all academic background. That day I interacted with more new class fellows n best part was : Around 20 of us had lunch together in canteen ,shared food n snatched sweet dish like old friends..

Third Day : Well it is my bday 2day and I was excited because first time I had to go to clg or sch on my bday. Almost evry fresher was greeting me with bday wishes and trust me I was on Cloud Nine bcz I dint even dream of such response on the third day in a new college. I attended the classes but after that wht happened was far beyond expectation. My classmates and friends arranged a surprise party for me n I was completely ignorant. I would not like to mention the names of only few bcz every1 was equally enthusiastic. The moment I entered the canteen I was welcomed by Birthday wishes from 30 of my classmates. It was followed by candle blowing ceremony n cake cuttin ceremony n after that I was loaded with cake ( From hair to mouth 'n' hands to shirt 'n' trousers to shoes 'n' throat to nose ) . I ws lookin even worse than Dracula but this celebration will always be one of the 'Golden Memories' .

In Short , Good Team Spirit n Gr8 Start to a new world !!

P.S : Thanx alot to all my Fore friends who put too much effort and pain for arranging such a delicious cake n get together..

Dedicated to my Friends...

MY BlOG'S FIRST BIRTHDAY
..

First of all,
Happy Birthday to you..
Happy Birthday to you..
Happy Birthday my dear Blog..
Happy Birthday to you.

On the first anniversary on my Blog , I am here expressing my feelings and some nostalgic days of my wonderful 3 years of College Life and every word written below is dedicated to my friends as none was possible without their company...

Special Thnx to all my friends w/o whom my clg life would not have been the way it was...

01. College first lecture : I had injury on neck and had to visit the doctor so reached the college late. I located the class n found tht Digital Electronics lecture was goin on. I was late by mere 30 mins n she dint allow me to enter. I tried to explain but all in vain. I waited outside till the lecture was over. Later, when I explained her, she apologized for being so rude.

02. Exams Fever : I was famous in my group for exam sickness. Still we used to have last moment studies at My place, Sim's place, Nishi's place, Mal's place, College library n Ground, LP, Sports Complex, Computer lab, Arts faculty, Dominos, Nirulas and last but not the least on Phones.

In short,

Datesheet + Get togethers + Gossip + Masti + Sickness + Little Studies = Exams Clear.

Hurry !!!!

03. Birthday Ceremonies : It was always a special occasion for us. Blowing candles, Cutting cakes, B'Day bombs in LP n Sports area, than Birthday treats, movies etc at varied locations namely K.Ngr, CP, Rajouri, Netaji, Rohini etc etc.

For us, birthdays were like festivals.

04. April Fool : My 3 very good friends proudly known as ' Gandhiji ke tin bandar ' played a very awful prank on 1st April. We had holiday n 1 of dem informed us that Mr Kiddy met with a major accident n was hospitalized. V were perplexed about this sudden shocking news. So, Champu n Hacker went to c him n it was decided that v gals would go later. But when they reached there, the situation was out of d blue. Those three were together n Kiddy was perfectly alright. But Hacker n Champu took the right revenge from our sides by battering Rabi at his place. That time I was angry on them but now when I think of it, I just smile ..

Truly said by someone : Happy memories of the past makes u cry and sad memories of the past makes u smile in present.

05. Juniors Fresher : We decided 'Rajasthani Theme' for our Juniors and we were so enthusiastic and high-spirited that we started the preparation 1 month earlier. We were more excited than our juniors. We used to stay in college till 6 n designed Matkas, Plates, Rangoli n evry possible thing related to Rajasthani Theme. We also gave Dance performance which was appreciated by all. The best thing was the compliment from the Bestest Teacher - " You Guys have raised the level of Freshers in Hansraj. No1 had ever taken n will take so much pain in organizing such a wonderful event". Those moments were the best.

06. Unlimited Rock Concerts : Ya it is true that we had unlimited Rock Concerts in our Class Rooms, LP, Sports Complex, Comp Labs, Audi, Barista etc etc by our very own Gaurav Sir. He is not just a Sir. He z a Friend, Philosopher, Guitarist, Singer, Guide n what not. We gave him the 'Best Student Award' on Farewell due to his evergreen young looks. Recently their first CD has been released named Void * Star. Not for sale but available on YouTube.

In Simple words , Gaurav Sir Rocks !!!

07. Mass Bunk : We had horrible class test (Class test r always horrible no matter how easy they are) conducted by Maa Sir. Maa because the abbreviation of his name is 'MA' so we used to call him Maa :). Since no1 was prepared for it so we planned a Mass Bunk..Mass bunk was not a usual scenario for our course but we notorious could do anything. So we went on Mass Bunk but like every class there were 7-8 courteous students in my class also who were afraid on the name on Bunk n they went for the test. We Bunkers went to play Cricket in the Clg Ground. Coincidently that day the class was opp to d grnd n v were totally unaware. Somehow he came to know about us ( may be by our hullabaloo ). The invitation was sent by him for us n we turned tails. The following morning we were expecting a big explosion but surprisingly, he dint scold.

In Short, Successful Bunk n Good Cricket.

08. Sports : Mostly during intermissions and free periods , we used to hover in the sports area and enjoyed playing various games namely Badminton, Carrom, Chess , Cricket, Basketball etc. I still remember that our dept had Cricket matches wd other depts for 2 consecutive years n v lost both the times. But the everlasting fun we had in cheer leading n preparation was far more than defeat.

Cheers to Comp Sc (H) . Hip Hip Hurray !!

09. College trip : It lasted for 4 days and 1 day was equivalent to 1 year. We enjoyed in every possible way : Singing , Dancing, River Crossing, Rappling, Pillow passing, Damsharaas, Tambola, Uno, Playing Cards, Falling from bus seat n varied bruises, Puke by many, Musical Chairs( No1 knew that I cheated to make Rabi won but still he dint win ( Shayad usme nakal ke liye akal nahi thi :), Bonfire, Leisurely walk in cool breeze, Bus climbing, Boat ride, Jeep ride in jungle etc etc..Hope that wonderful time could recur.

10. College Farewell Party : It was organized on 4th April followed by final practical on 3rd April. Everyone was looking gorgeous and fantabulous in ethnic attire. We were busy in preparing momentos for the teachers, PPT of our college memories n songs dedication for our fellow mates rather than preparing for Viva. Evry1 shared their experiences on the podium and I n Nishi almost cried :) Than the unforgettable comments by our teachers : " We can never have such a wonderful batch again in our teaching life..Most notorious yet the best". Just one thing was missing that the guys could not perform due to some invalid reasons lolz . After farewell , we went for long drive in 6 cars one after the other. Wow ! It was real fun...

If someone will ask where is Heaven, I will say it is in company of Good Friends..

P.S 1 : I know the post has been elongated but if I will compare it with my college life than these r just few anecdotes. In the company of my friends, I learned how to handle n react in different situations; how to c d world arnd u; how to learn things, how to c d in-depth perspective of things, how to remain down-to-earth and the list goes on n on..

P.S 2 : Last but not the least , Thanx to my tuition friend who inspired me to write something special on my blog's first anniversary.

Today, at around 9:30pm, I was returning from my relative's place. I was struck in traffic congestion and have nothing to do, so just peeped out of the window to read the quotes and slogans written on the dorsal of cars and trucks ( I like reading such quotes for time pass ). One thought touched me. It says :

God Gives and Still ForGive
Man Gets and Always ForGet..

Although the above thought is very simple yet it depicts the Human nature as if it is omnipresent.

As I mentioned earlier that I have nothing to do these days and Idle mind is Devils workshop, so weird thoughts are coming..

Few days back I was engrossed in thoughts..( Gosh I can even do that )..D thought was regarding our Handwriting. Is there any logic behind handwriting ? When we enter our school life, the first thing teacher teaches us is how to write ? Although a teacher teaches equally to all and all hv to write in the same Cursive Writing book but why evry1 has different handwriting..

This evoked my curiosity and I searched about this. Obviously I am not planning to become a Graphoanalyst lolz..But when I studied about this , I was moved by the outcome.. Writing is nothng but Brainwriting. It is known that brain sends impulses along the nervous system to the hand and it results in handwriting of a particular person. Handwriting can depict our moods, strengths, weaknesses, attitude, intelligence, nature etc etc..

I applied the theories on my handwriting and it elucidates almost evrything about my personality trait. I said almost because I am an amateur in this and d process of analysis is not a child's play. Whtevr I understood , I applied it on my handwriting and d result was absolutely correct.

Now I am planning to apply the theories on different persons and I hope that d result will be amazing there also..

P.S : What I concluded is that our evry small activity has a reason behind it and nothng z meaningless in our lives..

Life is about ups and downs:
When we are down, it brings infinite assurance;
When we are up, it teaches not to have arrogance..

Life is about dos and dont's:
When we do well, we receive affection;
When we don't, we receive rejection..

Life is about give and take:
When we give help, we gain;
When we seek help, we dnt have brain..

Life is about good times and bad times:
When we have a good time, we cherished;
When we have bad times, we are anguished..

Life is like two sides of a coin:
At times we are the winner,
The other times we are the loser..

P.S : But still we live , laugh n sleep..
So enjoy evry moment as time passed can nvr be recalled..

Strange but very true lines ..( From Namaste London )

Bas Yaad Saath Hai

Visit to Vrindavan

Monday, May 04, 2009 Edit This 3 Comments »

Yesterday I went to Vrindavan..I have visit this place earlier also but this time something was different. May be because dz tym I went somewhre wid my family (After 9 long years).

I wake up 4 hours early den my normal schedule of 8:30. v left d house at 6. When I crossed Bangla Sahib I was bedazzled by d crowd - Did I rise so early or half d world rise so early ? After traveling arnd 3 hours v reached Vrindavan ( Childhood place f Krishna ji )..

First time I dint find too much crowd In Baanke Bihari Temple and got honour to spend 10mins in front of d Deity. Co-incidently first time I visited Iskcon( International society for Shri Krishna Conscious ) temple too..I had been there many times but either due to shortage of time or temple timings I never got d opportunity to visit it. The unique feature I noticed dere is tht every Rickshw puller says ' Radhe Radhe ' whnever he wnts to blow horn. Some of the eatables one must have there are - Lassi , Dhokla n Tikki with Chole..

After that v went to Barsana( Birth Place of Radha Ji ). We visited the main temple dere n after some rest v left for home around 5pm. On d return journey, I saw tht One poor lady fell from d bike alongwd her 6-7 months old baby. Her saree got stuck in the wheel. Our driver, me and my bro went outside to c. Her both arms n shoulders were bruised and the baby had scratches on d face n right arm. I felt really bad. V searched for First Aid in our car bt couldnt find. V gave them water ( as it was too hot ) and Johnson's Baby Powder of my nephew ( Tht ws d only thing v could arrange). God bless them both..

V proceed further n was welcomed by strong winds n dirt..Some trees fell in d way so v found it unsafe to travel. V stopped for sometime at a safe place. Thnk God light shower came n d storm stopped. We had our Dinner at d newly opened outlet of Haldiram's Faridabad. Finally we reached home by midnight..

I was too tired n went to sleep..That was my sunday :)
